WDCAG Annual Meeting, 2024 at Okanagan College (OC) in Kelowna, BC March 15-16.

The 65th Annual Meeting of the Western Division of the Canadian Association of Geographers (WDCAG) was hosted by the Geography and Earth & Environmental Science Department at Okanagan College (OC) in Kelowna, BC March 15-16, 2024.
Geographers from all fields and related disciplines attended and presented.
The theme of this meeting was ‘Relevance’.
Relevance is what makes geography powerful. Geographers are in important positions in government, business, and the community.
We have insights that recognize challenges others may not, and we provide solutions. We understand why solutions that work in one place might not work in another. We make connections and see the big picture.
Participants reflected on how their work is relevant, whether to society, a community, a government department, an employer, or to their development.
